Adamello-Presanella

Discover a world of granite with the possibility of climbing on cracks, brutal slabs or sharp ridges, in an isolated natural environment of rare beauty.

The Giudicarie valleys have the good fortune to be on two completely different types of rock, on one side the Brenta Dolomites whit their peculiar limestone and on the other the Adamello-Presanella group known for the granite.

It is a mountainous range mainly known for its high mountains and its glaciers (the great “Pian di neve” of Adamello is the largest glacier in Italy), but in fact even the opportunities for rock climbing are countless!

There are walls up to 700 meters high crossed by stupendous cracks or compact faces, there’s something for every taste, from sport climbing to classic or trad. In general, it is a splendid adventure terrain, with breathtaking views and very little frequented, which has nothing to envy to the walls of the Val Masino or the towers of the Mont Blanc’s satellites.

Over the years I have repeated many routes and opened dozens of new ones and I am one of the leading experts in this group. At the moment I am condensing my knowledge of the Presanella group to create a mountaineering guide with the Versante Sud publishing house.
